Corporate

Corporate customers expect the highest levels of customer service and network reliability, whilst keeping a keen eye on value. Cost is an important consideration but needs to be viewed in the context of overall improvements to efficiency, disaster recovery and flexibility. We are always delighted to work with forward thinking companies and consider our portfolio of services to be uniquely relevant.

Below we outline a few common solutions provided to our Corporate customers.

Non-geographic numbers (more information)
We offer the full portfolio of non-geographic numbers from 0800 (UK toll-free / freephone) through 0845 to 0871. Calls can be delivered to VoIP (SIP) or any PSTN destination worldwide with intelligent routing as standard and virtually no constraints on volume (subject to a traffic forecast). 'Gold'/vanity numbers are available in all ranges.

Geographic numbers / DDIs / DIDs (more information)
We offer 'real' phone numbers of the type normally associated with land-lines but with no relation to the line. Calls are delivered onto our network from our carrier interconnects and then routed as you prefer. This can be to any VoIP (SIP) destination or PSTN number worldwide (which can be changed on-demand) or via bespoke intelligent routing logic. Numbers are available in any locality within the UK but at no point are you dependent on your local presence or line installation there - calls can be switched overseas or to a central location as required.

All numbers fully support fax-to-email or our unique fax-to-API, voicemail-to-email and selected ranges support incoming SMS from UK mobile networks and BT.

Number Porting (more information)
If you have existing UK numbers (including non-geographic) from BT or a BT reseller (ask us if in doubt), we can 'port' your number(s) onto the Simwood network. You keep the number but have the full capabilities described above. This is an ideal solution if moving office and needing to take a number out of area, or to put disaster recovery capabilities in place for existing numbers. Further, moving to VoIP delivery of calls to that number enables immediate increased call capacity and the optional cancellation of PSTN circuits for significant financial savings.

Termination to PSTN (more information)
Offices within the UK and globally can make calls via the Simwood network to yield substantial savings. Customers with VoIP capable equipment can interconnect with us by direct connection to or within one of our PoPs or, subject to adequate connectivity, over the open Internet. UK based customers without VoIP capability may simply programme our prefix into their PBX to bypass their line provider and route calls directly to us as desired.

SMS
In addition to inbound SMS (SMS-to-email or SMS-to-API) on selected DDI ranges, our API permits simple, cost effective, yet quality assured SMS sending as well.
