Porting

Simwood can port non-geographic and geographic (DDI) numbers from BT meaning calls come into our network rather than your customer’s BT line. What happens then is entirely up to you.

Our service is location independent such that a customer of yours moving premises can keep a number ported to Simwood, irrespective of where the code relates to. Many customers moving premises find porting their number to Simwood a simple way of keeping that number in service after they move without the cost and complexity of exchange-hosted diverts and some of our customers have built their proposition on this alone.

With calls delivered to VoIP there is no line, giving theoretically unlimited capacity from an existing number at virtually no marginal cost. We simply charge a low rental for the number rather than the line, regardless of the number of calls it receives.

If your customer is not ready for VoIP, calls can instead be delivered intelligently to one or more PSTN destinations, anywhere in the world. In addition to your nominal rental for the number, we charge forwarded calls at our wholesale rates.

Ports are charged at £20 per attempt with ported numbers subject to a £3 per month rental. Both are capped for single ports of a large range of numbers.
