Managed Termination
We offer high quality termination of your SIP traffic through a range of products. We differ to both traditional wholesale A-Z offers and those offering single destinations for the short-term, in that we specialise if offering a quality focussed full managed A-Z. For some customers we provide both the termination of their ‘everywhere else’ traffic, for others we are cherry-picked for certain strong destinations, but in most part we are the sole termination provider on which their service depends. We offer three A-Z service levels to suit different customer requirements. It is important to note that these offer different functionality as well as pricing and we counsel potential customers to understand the difference rather than simply choosing the cheapest! Our Gold A-Z is by far the most popular and represents premium stable termination suitable for use as the only route in service.
In all cases we manage the routes in service to optimise performance and quality for customers. We respond very quickly to issues we identify or customer reports and on Gold and Platinum service levels have multiple redundant routes to both tolerate failures and to enable us to pro-actively pull sub-optimal routes from use.
We interconnect with numerous carriers including two European incumbents and no less than 20 US regional carriers. We are extremely choosy about who we buy from and do not enter any relationship if we do not expect it to be in place in five years time. This plus our experience takes away the concern and overhead in managing your termination.
With the exception of incumbent carrier customers, our termination operates on an exclusively prepaid basis with billing in US Dollars, British Pounds and euros. This gives you security against fraudulent traffic as your exposure is limited to your prepay balance, and it means your set-up is not delayed with credit checks and references – quite literally your account can be set up as quickly as you can get a wire to us. Simwood has been around since 1997, is debt free and will return your prepay balance right away if you cease dealing with us.
Finally, we ensure our rate and code sheets are very clear and well presented. Rate changes are notified by an update to the full file with changes highlighted so you are clear what is changing. We offer numerous breakouts per destination to give you best terms on lower cost in-country destinations, or isolate higher cost destinations. You will never receive a scrappy email from us vaguely describing changes, you’ll always get a full replacement code and rate file so there is no ambiguity.
